- DO – talk about the kind of relationship you want, DON’T – demand that they meet all your expectations
- DO – share how a behavior impacts you, DON’T – assume you know all the reasons behind the behavior
- DO – express an us vs the problem attitude, DON’T – see your partner as the roadblock
